GUEST ARTISTS - MAIREAD
I was greatly honoured to have a collage created by a famous fan artist, Mairead, combining my two favourite fictional universe's, LOTG and XFiles. I have long been a fan of Mairead's wonderful art, and she, wonderful person, asked to do one for me personally. Below are the results.
Mairead also wrote a brief synopsis for the picture, a story to explain what was happening.
2/6/02 - LOUISE'S LITTLE PEOPLE
Mulder had a tip about an underground freak show in town where they had
little people in cages for the paying punters to stare at. He sneaked in to
the exhibition hall after hours. The security man was entertaining his
girlfriends on another floor and the security systems had been no problem to
crack being quite obsolete. His illegal entry into various government
buildings had been useful training he reflected as he switcjhed on his
maglite. He crept silently through the halls looking out for 'Louise's
Little People: Strange Exhibitions Inc.' He was stopped in his tracks at
the sight of the silver cage housing three little men in a lit alcove. They
were already aware of his presence and looked at him nervously as he
approached them. Mulder ascertained that they could speak English before
introducing himself. They told him their story in turn and then pleaded
with him to release them so they could get back to their ship and their own
time zone. He quickly helped them to spring the lock of their little prison
and taking them in his hand one by one carefully placed them on the ground.
They waved at him as they headed for the nearest vents to make their escape.
They had assured Mulder their ship was close by hidden in the shrubs,
neverthe less he wanted to be sure they were okay.
Mulder silently made his exit from the exhibition hall listening to the
distant sounds of the security man and his grilfriends in the throes of
passion. He walked around the side of the building and softly called for
the little escapees. They emerged from the shadows eager for any assistance
that would get them back to their friends on board the ship. Mulder
shadowed them as they made their way and safely saw them on board giving
Mulder a final wave in farewell. Back at home Mulder wondered who this
Louise was that had the little fellows on exhibition and if she had any more
sideshows he should know about. Oh well that's another days work but for
now - Goodnight ;-)
